              Deep gratitude I pray toward the presence of God the Merciful, the Most Gracious, karen berkat his generosity and the gift paper entitled God-the God I could complete it well.

              The writing of this paper is as one to fulfill the task Englis for Islamic Studies which has been given to us by the students. other than that this paper can be used as a source of knowledge on how to implement teaching in education.

              The authors realize that in writing this paper there are still many shortcomings in terms of both preparation and material. therefore, criticism and suggestions for the reader is expected for the improvement of this paper.

CHAPTER I

OPENING

A.    Background

The Quran  is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from God (Allah). It is widely regarded as the finest work inclassical Arabic literature. The Quran is divided into chapters (surah in Arabic), which are then divided into verses .

Muslims believe that the Quran was verbally revealed by God to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel (Jibril), gradually over a period of approximately 23 years, beginning on 22 December 609 CE, when Muhammad was 40, and concluding in 632, the year of his death. Muslims regard the Quran as the most important miracle of Muhammad, a proof of his prophethood and the culmination of a series of divine messages that started with the messages revealed to Adam and ended with Muhammad. The word "Quran" occurs some 70 times in the text of the Quran, although different names and words are also said to be references to the Quran.

DISCUSSION

The qur’an (2)

            The qur’an is the final book sent by Allah, it is a great and noble book. It was revealed in the arabic language in a beautiful style. It’s rhyme and rhythm are beautiful. The qur’an is a wonderful book of guidance. It gives us a good feeling to read it. Its message is full of life. In other words, the qur’an tells us how to serve and worship God. It also tells us how live a life of virtue. The qur’an tells us how to be good and give up bad habits. It tells us how to behave at home, how to behave with our parents, brothers, sisters, friends, neighbours and strangers. It tells us how to behave towards other people. It is a book for all men and women in all parts of the world and for all times. It is the book of complete guidance. It is the true guidance for all mankind. Allah asked us to read the qur’an and follow what it says. A muslim believes in the qur’an, reads it daily, understand, its meaning and tries to follow it in his life. We will be happy and successful if we obey Allah’s commands which are written in the qur’an.[1]

               Qur'an adalah Kitab terakhir yang dikirim oleh Allah, Qur’an adalah kitab yang hebat dan  kitab yang mulia, Hal itu terungkap dalam bahasa arab dengan gaya yang indah. Itu sajak dan irama yang indah. Qur'an adalah buku panduan yang bagus. Ini memberi kita perasaan enak ketika membacanya. Pesannya penuh dengan cara hidup. Dengan kata lain, qur'an memberitahu kita bagaimana untuk melayani dan menyembah Tuhan. Ini juga memberitahu kita bagaimana menjalani kehidupan kebajikan. Qur'an memberitahu kita bagaimana menjadi baik dan melepaskan kebiasaan buruk. Alqur’an memberitahu kita bagaimana berperilaku di rumah, bagaimana berperilaku dengan orang tua kita, saudara laki-laki, saudara perempuan, teman, tetangga dan orang asing. Alqur’an memberitahu kita bagaimana berperilaku terhadap orang lain. Alqur’an adalah Kitab untuk semua pria dan wanita di seluruh belahan dunia dan sepanjang masa. Alqur’an adalah buku panduan lengkap. Alqur’an adalah tuntunan sejati bagi seluruh umat manusia. Allah meminta kita untuk membaca qur'an dan mengikuti apa yang dikatakannya. Seorang muslim percaya pada qur'an, membacanya setiap hari, mengerti, maknanya dan mencoba mengikutinya dalam hidupnya. Kita akan bahagia dan sukses jika kita mematuhi perintah Allah yang tertulis di qur'an.

Answer : Yes it is, because the qur’an tells us how to be good and give up bad habits.

1.      Direct & Indirect speech 

Direct and Indirect Speech, also known as Reported Speech. Direct Speech is a sentence spoken directly by the speaker and is written with quotation marks. While Indirect Speech is a sentence spoken indirectly by the speaker without being given a comma.[3]

Direct dan Indirect Speech, yang juga kita kenal dengan istilah lain yaitu Reported Speech. Direct Speech adalah kalimat yang diucapkan secara langsung oleh pembicara dan ditulis dengan tanda kutip.Sedangkan Indirect Speech adalah kalimat yang diucapkan secara tidak langsung oleh pembicara tanpa diberi koma.

How to convert a direct sentence to an indirect

Cara mengubah kalimat direct ke indirect

a.        Kalimat perintah dan larangan.

    Untuk merubah kalimat direct ke indirect pada kalimat perintah/ larangan perlu di tambahkan kata tosebelum kalimat yang di laporkan, contohnya :

Kalimat Perintah:

1)      Direct speech (kalimat langsung) : Dinda asked me, “open the door.”

2)      Indirect speech (kalimat tidak langsung ) : Dinda asked me to open the door.

Kalimat larangan :

1)      Direct speech : Dinda asked me,”don’t open the door.”

2)      Indirect speech : Dinda asked me not to open the door.

Note : don’t dalam kalimat langsung berubah menjadi not to.

b.      Kalimat Pernyataan

  Untuk mengubah kalimat direct menjadi indirect pada kalimat pernyataan di gunakan kata penghubung that sebelum kalimat yang di kutip. Contohnya :

1)      Direct  : Khansa told her friend, “ I will go to Lampung.”

2)      Indirect  : Khansa told her friend that she would go to Lampung.

c.        Kalimat Pertanyaan

   Untuk mengubah kalimat direct ke indirect pada kata Tanya, question words seperti what, who, when, why, and soon dijadikan kata penghubung antara kalimat pengantar dengan kalimat yang di kutip, contohnya :

1)      Direct  : Mr.Ali asked me,”where do you live?”

2)      Indirect  : Mr.Ali asked me where I lived.

     “If “ dan “Whether “ ditambahkan untuk menyampaikan kalimat yes-no question yang telah didengar sebelumnya. Yes-no question merupakan bentuk pertanyaan yang membutuhkan jawaban yes atau no. [4]

Contoh:

Contoh Direct Speech	Contoh Kalimat Reported Speech	Keterangan
“Do you have a little time?” (Apa kamu punya sedikit waktu?)	He asked me if I had a little time.	Jawaban dari pertanyaan pada direct speech: Yes, I do atau No, I don’t
“Have you heard the news?” (Sudahkah kamu mendengar berita tsb?)	She wanted to know whether I had heard the news.	Jawaban dari pertanyaan pada direct speech: Yes, I have atau No, I haven’t

 

Pedoman Perubahan Tenses dalam direct ke indirect speech

1. Simple Present diubah menjadi Simple Past

1)      Direct    : she said, “I buy a pen.”

2)      Indirect : she said that she bought a pen.

b.      Present Continuous Tense diubah menjadi Past Continuous Tense

1)      Direct    : she said, “ I am buying a pen.”

2)      Indirect : she said that she was buying a pen.

c.       Present Perfect Tense diubah menjadi Past Perfect Tense

1)      Direct    : she said, ‘ I have bought a pen.”

2)      Indirect  : she said that she had bought a pen.

d.      Present Perfect Continuous Tense diubah menjadi Past Perfect Continuous Tense

1)      Direct    : she said, “ I have been buying a pen since 6 o’clock.”

2)      Indirect : she said that she had been buying a pen since 6 o’clock.

e.       Simple Past Tense diubah menjadi Past Perfect Tense

1)      Direct    : she said, “ I bought a pen.”

2)      Indirect : she said that she had bought a pen.

f.       Simple Future Tense diubah menjadi Past Future Tense

1)      Direct    : she said, “ I will buy a pen.”

2)      Indirect : she said that she would buy a pen.

g.      Future Continuous Tense diubah menjadi Past Future Continuous Tense

1)      Direct    : she said, “ I will be buying a pen.”

2)      Indirect : she said that she would be buying a pen.

2.      Urutan kata Jika dalam satu Kalimat ada lebih dari satu adverb

(time) + subject + Verb + Object + Adverb of manner + place + time.

Contoh : Hasan  wrote  a letter     quietly           in the class       this morning.

B.     Suggestion

As prospective educators we must choose a lot ilmu including English-language science. Because basically English has become the international language so we should be able to teach the students about religion in the English language.
